Julio a Septiempre y al día! /July to September and up to date!

Creo que la existencia del Whatsapp atenta contra el blog. Ahora le puedo mandar fotos todo el tiempo a mi mamá, que es la principal lectora del blog. Pero es lindo también para los chicos ver sus fotos, y como yo no soy muy buena haciendo álbumes, el blog nos viene bien. Así que seguimos. Qué lo disfrutes Trini : )
I think having Whatsapp is making this blog a bit unnecessary, since I can send pictures anytime to my mom - the main reader of this blog! But I think the kids like to see their pictures here and since I'm not very good scrap-booking, I think I'll continue here for a while. Enjoy it Trini!

Tailandia y una visita al hospital/Thailand and the hospital

En Mayo nos fuimos unos días a Chiang Mai, Tailandia, y en ese tiempo Trini tuvo neumonía, el antibiótico le dio alérgia y tuvo que quedarse en el hospital. ¡Fue todo una aventura! Y el Señor estuvo con nosotros siempre. /
In May we went to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Trini had pneumonia and a nasty allergic reaction to an antibiotic, so we had to spend a couple of nights at the hospital. The Lord was there with us and it turned out to be a great adventure.

Tener un hermano mayor tiene sus ventajas. / Having an older brother has her perks!

¡Trini fue super valiente! / Trini was super brave

Desde la habitación se veía la ciudad y hasta nos miramos todo un desfile
The hospital room had a nice view and we even watched a parade.

Celebramos la recuperación en el zoológico, con el pandita, por supuesto.
We celebrated her recovery at the zoo, and with the panda, of course.

 
También tuvimos una aventura arriba de un elefante empacado... no tan divertido! Pero Trini mantuvo siempre la calma y me recitó: "No tengas miedo ni te desanimes...".
We also had an adventure riding a very unhappy elephant. Trini was pretty calm through it all and repeated "do not be afraid or discouraged" to cheer me up.

Trying to catch up with this blog and with Trini, that grows nonstop. She says she is not small, but I say she is not big. She said, "No, mammy, I'm not big. I'm medium."

Nueva escuela para el prescolar/Preschool and a new school

Este año Trini empezó prescolar en la misma escuela que Timo. Eso fue un gran incentivo para ir contenta. Además, le encanta ir, canta todas las canciones y escribe todas las letras. Se quedó sola desde el primer día. Timo ayuda y la visita de vez en cuando.

This year Trini gets to do preschool at the same school Timo goes to. This was a great incentive to go! She is loving it. She sings all the songs and writes all the letters. She stayed on her own from day one. Timo helps by dropping by to see her every now and then.
We are so thankful for the Lord's provision to send the kids to this school.

Los últimos meses con 4/last months of being 4

Qué rápido que pasa el tiempo, y qué rápido que crece Trini. A Trini le encanta pintar, y andar en bici, y jugar con bloques. Lo que más le gusta es jugar con Timo. Es hermosa por dentro y por fuera.
Time goes too fast and Trini is growing too fast as well. She loves coloring, riding her bike, building with blocks and most of all playing with Timo. She is beautiful inside out. 

Chau Playschool

Durante todo el año Trini estuvo yendo a "The Playschool," un jardincito hermoso donde jugaban mucho. Fue genial para Trini porque aprendió a quedarse sola (bueno, ¡después de unos meses!), hacerse amigos y hablar más Manglish. Su último día ahí lo celebramos con una fiestita de despedida. Trini estaba un poco triste, pero mucho más entusiasmada porque ahora va a ir a la "escuela grande de Timo."
All year Trini has been attending The Playschool, and having a lot of fun. It was a great fit for her and she learned to stay at school on her own (well, after a few months she did!), make friends and speak even more Manglish. We had a little goodbye party on her last day. Thank you Playschool!
Trini was sad but also super excited to go to the big school with Timo.
